My top 3 favorites

From the list above, I personally found these 3 titles where the real pick of the bunch. Hope you can enjoy them as much as me.

His Master's Voice by Stanislaw Lem

His Master's Voice by Stanislaw Lem is one of the rare gems of literature. A real page turner with a structured all well though out plot. Stanis aw Lem has really taken time to bring depth and character not only to the people in the story, but also to the environment, and the time period.

The book itself is a science fiction novel, but its really more than that. The book is about philosophy, and understanding our existence. The plot is based around a group of scientists who receive a message from outer space, and another life form, and their reactions and decisions about this.

Dune by Frank Herbert

Another great sci fi book, which will undoubtedly be in every sci fi fans book cabinet is Dune. Set on another planet, with a whole new idea of what life what would be like in the future, Dune when it was first released, and still today is a groundbreaking read.

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

The original horror monster book. Although at first it might not seem like a science fiction book, it certainly is. What else could you a call a book about bringing the dead to life with technology? Frankenstein is a radical look at human nature, and man's obsession with goals, and attainment on a mental and physical level. There is an emotional depth to this book, thanks partly to the author being a woman, that you rarely find amongst other sci fi books.
